Students complete final chair projects!
100% Students passed the End of Pathway Exam - Autodesk Inventor Certified User Exam March 18, 2019
This week students are creating study models and prototyping chair parts on CNC to test for tolerances/fit. March 11, 2019
Students revised presentation drawings for the product that they took apart to draw. We have begun preliminary sketching and study models for the chair design project. Students have been given a 4' x 8' sheet of 1/2 inch plywood to create a chair design that will hold a person safely and comfortably. Students will learn how to use the CNC to fabricate their design. February 27, 2019 Compete presentation drawing of your product. Export as a PDF and upload to google classroom. Due Friday. February 3, 2019 Continue modeling parts. Access to Autodesk Education community for free videos at beginner, intermediate and advanced level. Access at home. Wheeler has blocked youtube so unfortunately we don't have access to free resources through Autodesk at school. Link below. Use your tinkercad.com username and password or create a new one. I will try to download and link files to the google classroom. https://www.autodesk.com/education/home https://academy.autodesk.com/course/83861/introduction-engineering-graphics-and-visualization-design Another resource is Lynda.com for instructional videos. Go to Cobbcat.org/librarypass Students can access media center resources through their student ID + pin January 28, 2019 This week we continue modeling each part of the appliance in Inventor. January 20, 2019 This week we begin modeling each part of the appliance in Inventor. January 13, 2019 This week take an object/product from home such as a mixer, printer, or other object with multiple parts, photograph it, sketch, study and measure its parts, and then 3D model each part using Inventor as separate part files. January 7, 2019 Happy New Year! This week we will be discussing the syllabus, classroom safety, fabrication equipment and related careers. Information is posted in the google classroom. You will choose a type of fabrication equipment used in the classroom and a related career that uses the equipment to research this week, organize your research into poster presentation board, and present/display your poster to the class. Option 2- Research an industrial designer. |
