Students are modeling a hotel using Revit and following the professional training manual for each step: column grids, floor plans, windows, doors, etc. in preparation for the Revit Certification Exam in November.
Students created site analysis diagrams and have been laying out preliminary floor plan designs. We have discussed program and square footage requirements. Students will continue to work on their library designs while learning Revit. They are using a training manual to create a hotel to learn and practice Revit skills in commercial architecture.
Students have been working on a creative exercise to generate interesting forms from stories these past two weeks. This week we begin site analysis for their library project.
Students are beginning a library project based on the AIA high school design competition project from 2017.

Focusing on space and form, design and construct a crazy structure. We are focusing on hand building model making skills today. Focus on commercial structures.
